Alicorp, a leading manufacturer of food and household products and personal care, as a sign of their commitment to Bolivia and its social responsibility during the pandemic Covid-19, held on Saturday April 18th a donation worth of Bs 2.3 million. The donation includes both equipment and medical supplies, including a respirator intensive care, 30,000 family kits staple food and cleaning and personal care for the most vulnerable people and people who are today at the forefront of the battle against to the virus, adding more than 172,000 kilos product.

The donation was made in a simple ceremony, meeting all biosafety protocols, which Development Minister Productive, Wilfredo Rojo, Government Minister, Arturo Murillo, the presidential representative for the Social Management, Carolina Ribera Anez participated, Senator Carlos Pablo Klinsky and two company executives.

During the ceremony, Alfonso Kreidler, country lead Alicorp's in Bolivia, stressed that: "Under our support program #AyudaAlQueAyuda are donating medical equipment, plus food, cleaning products and personal care for populations in vulnerable situations and for heroes who are caring for the health of the population. At the time I want to thank and acknowledge the commitment of our people, Alicorp workers, who are also on the front producing, distributing and reaching the outlets so that nothing is missing in the table of Bolivians ".

Of the 30,000 food kits basic food and cleaning supplies and personal care, 20,000 were delivered directly to the national government for distribution among the families of the frontline workers of the health sector and other families in need of support in these circumstances. Also it distributed so Alicorp direct another 10,000 kits in the coming weeks in communities mainly in the departments of Cochabamba and Santa Cruz, where the company has located its production.

The kits of food and cleaning and personal care contain oil Fino 900ml., Fortified noodles Nutregal, margarine Regia 425 gr., Shortening Karina 1 pound canned sardines Sabrosa, soap Bolivar bar, jaboncillo Plusbelle 125 and g powder detergent ONE in bag 800 gr.

"With this donation, Alicorp wants to put his shoulder to the country in these difficult circumstances, in which all must unite in order to protect the health and life of all Bolivians , " said Alfonso Kreidler at the opportunity.

Regarding medical supplies delivered by the company, the executive said they knew the importance of providing a health personnel safety equipment and tools to care for patients, so Alicorp made available to the government the following materials: 1 respirator for intensive care, over 1,000 barbijos N95, about 1,000 safety glasses, over 14,000 latex and nitrile gloves, goggles and overalls lenses against chemicals.
