As a food and hygiene and cleaning product company, we are fully committed to honoring our responsibility to continue bringing the products families require to points of sale. And in doing so, we respect the measures that the authorities have ordered, taking all the necessary provisions to care for our collaborators and the entire value chain.
Likewise, we are committed to contributing with our resources and capabilities so that this Better Tomorrow we all dream of comes as soon as possible. And in this time of emergency, that means supporting the most vulnerable and those on the front lines with commitment, sacrifice and courage. We want to thank these heroes and their families for going beyond words. We want to thank you with our help, delivering food and cleaning products that allow you to take care of yours, while still taking care of us.
That is, give our #AyudaAlQueAyuda. This is what we have called our support and contribution program in these circumstances, the same that includes various fronts:
- We will be donating 15 million soles in food and cleaning products for vulnerable populations and for those who are taking care of the population's health and safety, such as health personnel and members of our Police.
- Understanding the importance of hygiene in this context and prior to the state of emergency, we coordinate actions with the Ministry of Health to promote an educational campaign on handwashing, which is being broadcast on the main radio stations nationwide. Likewise, we deliver cleaning and personal hygiene products to health centers and we will continue supporting the work of the State in this complex moment.
- Together with the consulting firm McKinsey and Driv In, we have adapted the dynamic distribution tools with which we work internally, to develop a logistics solution proposal that will allow the Ministry of Health to optimize the planning of distribution routes and take prioritized tests.
- We have internally activated a solidarity network promoting our collaborators to participate in the #YoMeSumo campaign, with the commitment that Alicorp will triple the donations that its collaborators make to this campaign, which will provide resources to Peruvians in situations of great vulnerability.
We are aware that no person or company by itself can do enough to get out of this situation and that only by working together can we succeed. Everyone's commitment and solidarity are key at times like this. For this reason, we must all respect the provisions of our authorities and, from the place that we happen to be, also help the most vulnerable and the heroes without capes who are fighting the battle on the front line.
The world is going to change in unpredictable ways after this crisis. What will not change is the drive and passion of all to put Peru back on top.
